Naval Architectural � Have a thorough understanding of vessel structural design, including Finite Element Analysis methods. � Have a minimum of 2 years in ship design and construction experience, including practical knowledge of shipyard construction methods and details. � Successful completion of a bachelor's degree in Engineering (Naval Architecture) is essential. Mechanical Engineering � Experienced in heating, ventilation, DX and chilled water systems in Ships would be advantageous. � Have at least 2 years experience in the design or construction of marine vessels and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering would be preferred. Electrical Engineering � Have a BS degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years experience. � Be familiar with the acceptance requirements of a power distribution system survey Authority such as the NEC. � Have experience involving interaction with equipment manufacturers for the design and construction of switchboards and power panels. ALL: � Have an understanding of scheduling and an ability to adhere to strict deadlines and budgetary restraints � Have experience involving interaction with Production, multiple design teams from several companies and client representation. � Be computer literate and familiar with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products. � Being experienced in the construction of high speed aluminum vessels would be advantageous. � Possess a thorough knowledge of ships systems and propulsion systems. Responsible for ensuring all required regulatory and compliance standards are adhered to. REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Academy degree in deck or engineering or equivalent work related experience. Position will be based out of Seattle, WA office. 5 - 7 years relevant experience petroleum transportation tank vessel operations with a MMD endorsed with PIC DL or PIC Barge DL required. 5 -10 years marine transportation mate level preferred. Computer knowledge with Word, Excel and barge loading programs (CargoMax) preferred. May spend extended periods outside when project transfers are taking place.
