Marine Ops Superintendent Job Location: USA, Oakland This position is to ensure effective daily activity in the Marine Operations environment. Supervise labor, cost, safety, and maintain cargo movement within standards. This position will be responsible for the following supervision and effective management of: Discharge and loading sequences to meet all standards; Direct and supervise EMS steadies and hall long shore men in all aspects of hiring, contract administration and labor relations, as well as disciplinary actions/complaint handling; Interaction with transportation, equipment, CY and Logistics departments; Effectively lead and administer functional marine teams, safety programs and accident reporting; Attend all labor relations meetings and provide advocacy for company at all levels of grievance machinery; Track and analyze key marine standards and measures for cost/productivity management; Work day/night shifts as required by rotation/necessity of changing business environment; Review and approve for payment labor materials as required; and Participate in cross functional training within the department including but not limited to dispatching, outside superintendent, inside superintendent, shift manager, and specific administration duties. Minimum Requirements Requires a minimum 2 years supervisory experience within the transportation industry Additional Requirements Prior working experience in equipment, trucking, logistics, rail operations, and marine operations preferred Knowledge of ETC, Client Services and

activities connected with survey and certificate requirements, monitoring trading certificates and other inspection records for all vessels. Reviewing all new international/ national/ class regulations to ensure fleet compliance.
