boat month Topaz Launches Kanoo 40 Topaz Energy and Marine Ltd., through its subsidiary Nico Craft, has launched a 99.1 ft crew boat named Kanoo 40 for Kanoo Marine. The vessel was designed by Teknicraft, New Zealand and all the engineering and construction work was undertaken by Nico Craft in Fujairah. Kanoo 40 is a medium speed catamaran designed to service vessels within 50 nautical miles of port. The boat is constructed using welded seawater resistant aluminum alloy and the hull is a semi-planning type. The vessel has been built under the Bureau Veritas Certification. Topaz Engineering has its ship building base in Fujairah (Nico Craft) and Abu Dhabi (Adyard). Nico Craft's focus has been passenger ferries, fast patrol boats, crew boats, utility boats and various commercial craft up to 131 ft. of the Specifications: Length, o.a.
